When was the 'Summer House' Season 8 reunion filmed?
Surprise! As it turns out, the Summer House Season 8 reunion was filmed in early May 2024. On Friday, May 3, host Andy Cohen made it official, announcing that the cameras were all set for the reunion in New York City.
"I'm pumped," Andy shared via his Instagram Story, giving fans a peek at a stack of cards brimming with juicy questions sent in by Summer House fans.
Adding to the confirmation, returning cast member Gabby Prescod shared a selfie from a car, writing via her Instagram Story at 5:55 a.m. EST, "Rise and shine. It's reunion time."
Ahead of the highly-anticipated two-part reunion, stars Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, and Ciara Miller sat down with Life & Style and teased that the Season 8 reunion will be quite a "spicy" special.
Ciara told the outlet that filming the reunion was quite a "long day," a sentiment that Kyle echoed, suggesting it might just become the "longest reunion in Summer House history."
Amanda revealed that amidst the moments of both tears and laughter, the expected drama was ever-so-present. Speaking to Life & Style, she emphasized, "There was obviously a lot of drama."
While Ciara pointed out that there wasn't "too much yelling" among the cast, they all agreed that fans would be satisfied with how the season concludes.
"I think everyone answers everyone's questions, for the most part," Amanda added. "We will answer a lot of this stuff that everyone's wondering, I think."
Speaking of Ciara, Andy shared with Distractify that viewers can anticipate learning more about her and West's relationship. He mentioned, “You really find out what is happening with West and Ciara, which I think people are really interested in. And I think people are gonna be really interested to see where they go.”
West Wilson isn't looking forward to the Season 8 reunion.
While many cast members found some enjoyment in filming the reunion, the same can't be said for Summer House newbie West Wilson. During a May 17 appearance on Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Tamra Judge's podcast, Two Ts In A Pod, West admitted he's not exactly thrilled about fans watching the Season 8 reunion.
"The reunion, I regret every moment of it," West confessed to the podcast hosts. "I just think I was, like, trying to respond to other people instead of just telling my own story, if that makes sense."
He explained, "I'm not built for reunions at all. Before I did the show, I was like, 'Yo, I'm not confrontational. I hope that's OK.' Just naturally, it feels so exhausting and scary."
Besides delving into Ciara and West's relationship, Andy also shared with Distractify that fans will witness Carl and Lindsay reuniting after their split. "This is kind of the first time they've spoken at length since they broke up," Andy remarked about the reunion. “We really go there, and it's really good.”
Since the Season 8 finale has already made its debut (it aired on May 30), fans can mark their calendars for Part 1 of the Season 8 reunion airing on Thursday, June 6, at 9 p.m. EST. Part 2 will follow on Thursday, June 13, also at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
