A Few Logical Reasons Why Violet Affleck Is Always Seen Wearing a Mask

It's not uncommon for the children of celebrity parents to wear certain accessories or outfits to hide their identity or make them less accessible. Sometimes, the children choose this, while other times, their parents enforce it. While we certainly understand why a celebrity would want to protect their child from the public, some things their kids do can seem odd without explanation.

Take Violet Affleck, 18, the oldest child of actors Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, who is often seen wearing a mask. She's been wearing this accessory since she was young, leaving many people curious as to why (us included). So, we did a little digging, and here are a few potential theories.

Violet has been spotted on numerous occasions sporting a mask, particularly an N95. She was seen wearing one at Michael Rubin's White Party in 2023, again in May 2024 while spending time with her mom, and while attending a Broadway show with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. The "maskapade" doesn't end there. Violet was also spotted wearing a mask while running errands with her mom. But why?

While her camp has not commented on this issue, an obvious reason could be that Violet feels safer wearing a mask in crowded settings, like Michael's party. Although the norms of wearing face masks have relaxed, one can never be too safe these days. Another theory is that Violet might have a medical condition, and the mask adds a layer of protection to prevent her symptoms from flaring up.

This tweet by @justaneighsayer reads, "There is only one intelligent person in these photos, 17-year-old Violet Affleck. Looks like someone is sensible and trying to avoid sars2 with a quality n95." Another user said, "I am finding myself as a fan of Violet Affleck because she wears a fitted mask when needed."
