Did Chase Severino and Sara Jackson Tie the Knot?

When Chase Severino revealed that not only did he cheat on Whitney Thore, but he had also gotten the other woman pregnant, My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans were devastated on behalf of the reality TV star. Season 8 of the TLC series followed Whitney struggling with his betrayal, along with picking up the shattered pieces of her life and moving forward from the broken engagement. Ever since Chase's baby arrived in late 2020, many have wondered: Is he married to Sara Jackson now?

As a refresher, My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans were first able to identify the mother of Chase's child through baby registries, which listed his then-presumed baby mama, Sara Jackson, alongside Whitney's ex-fiancé's name. Chase and Sara went on to welcome a baby girl (who was born a few weeks early, but healthy) in September 2020. They named her Aurora Joyce Severino — and she's pretty much the cutest.

For quite some time, Chase tried to keep his private life private again after appearing on MBFFL. Following the end of his and Whitney's engagement, Chase was subject to hostile DMs, mean comments, and generally very intense scrutiny online. What he faced was so bad that Whitney's new boyfriend doesn't want his face shared on the show at all.

But it seems that Chase is back to sharing his personal life online. His Instagram is now full of shots of him and Aurora — as well as the occasional picture of his lady love. Chase even made a return to MBFFL in Season 9 to share the news that he and Sara are engaged.

In an exclusive clip shared by People of the Oct. 5 episode of MBFFL, Chase meets up with Whitney to share the news, which shocks her so much that she simply replies, "That's nice." Even worse, when the shock wears off and Whitney asks how he popped the question, she realizes that it's very similar to how he asked her.

In both cases, he pretended to take a picture before asking his girlfriend to marry him. In Sara's case, it was by Dunn's Falls in Jamaica. In Whitney's case, it was on the Eiffel Tower. Despite calling him out for recycling his proposal, Whitney congratulates him and wishes him the best.

Although the news is just breaking now on MBFFL, Chase filmed his episodes a while ago. However, it looks like Sara and Chase's wedding is still in the planning stages. On Sept. 25, Chase posted an Instagram Reel created by Sara of Chase with Aurora for National Daughters Day, in which he shouted out Sara by calling her his fiancé.

Since then, Chase has shared no update indicating that he and Sara are officially husband and wife, but it's only a matter of time. The two also bought their first home together in the summer of 2021.
